HEAD COACH GLEN McNAMEE

 

This is Coach McNamee’s third year as head football coach at Central Dauphin High School. Coach McNamee previously served as an assistant coach at CD, three years as offensive coordinator, and one year as the quarterbacks coach.  He was also interim-head coach from April-June 2003. 

 

Coach McNamee was also an Assistant Football Coach and Academic Coordinator at Lenoir-Rhyne College (Division II program in Hickory, North Carolina) from 1997-2001.  He spent the first two seasons as the quarterbacks coach and the final three seasons he as the wide receivers coach.  In the 2000 season he coached the Freshman Offensive Player of the Year in the South Atlantic Conference.  Prior to that, he was a student coach at Bloomsburg University under Coach Danny Hale for the spring of 1997.    

 

As a player at Bloomsburg University, McNamee was a four-year varsity quarterback and served as Co-Captain in 1996.  He threw for a career total of 7,192 yards and 60 touchdowns, amassing a 31-6-1 record as starting quarterback, including three conference championships and a bid to the Division II National Championship Playoffs in 1996.  He ended the 1996 season with the sixth best quarterback rating in the nation in Division II.  Coach McNamee finished his career as seventh all-time in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference history for touchdown passes. 

 

Coach McNamee was named Bloomsburg University Underclass Athlete of the Year for 1994-1995, Senior Athlete of the Year for 1996-1997, and a Bloomsburg University Scholar Athlete from 1994-1997.  Coach McNamee was also a Burger King National Scholar Athlete and had $10,000 donated in his name to Bloomsburg University.

 

Coach McNamee will continue his duties as a Social Studies teacher with the district.  McNamee resides in the Central Dauphin School District with his wife Carol and daughters Marissa & Madison.

Steve Stoner – Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line

Coach Stoner is entering his seventh season with the Rams. He is a Physical Education teacher in the Camp Hill School District. Coach Stoner has an extensive and impressive coaching resume. He led Camp Hill High School to the PIAA Class A State Championship in 1988 and was named the Patriot News Coach of the Year while at Trinity High School in 1996. He was a multi-sport star at Camp Hill High School and took his athletic prowess to Gettysburg College. Coach Stoner resides in Mechanicsburg with his wife Lori. Coach Stoner’s family also includes his daughter Becky and his son Steve, a Freshman Coach for the Rams.

 

Matt "WHERE'S MY PANTS" Bushong – Running Backs/Inside Linebackers/Special Teams

Coach Bushong joined the Rams Football Staff in 1997. Currently Coach Bushong splits his time between Central Dauphin High School and Linglestown Junior High as a Physical Education and Driver’s Education teacher. Before joining the teaching staff at Central Dauphin, Coach Bushong was a Health Ed. teacher at Steelton-Highspire High School and also coached football at Northern High School in the mid 1990s. Coach Bushong also is an assistant Girl’s Basketball Coach at Central Dauphin and Assistant Track Coach at Linglestown Junior High. Coach Bushong was a standout player at Annville-Cleona High School in the late 1980s and continued his playing career as a fullback at West Chester University where he was a member of the 1992 PSAC East Championship Team. Coach Bushong and his wife Janelle reside in Annville with their son Evan.

 

Denny Duttenhoffer – Kickers/Punters/Longsnappers

Coach Duttenhoffer has been an integral part of the Rams success since 1998. He currently works with the kicking and snapping specialists. He spends countless hours of time, energy and resources as a volunteer assistant. Coach Duttenhoffer runs a successful carpet cleaning business in the Harrisburg Area and devotes the majority of his free time to the Rams Football Family. Coach Duttenhoffer is a native of Harrisburg and was member of the great John Harris football teams of the 1960s. He is also a Senior National Handball Champion. Coach Duttenhoffer is a father of four and resides in Harrisburg

  

Bret "BUSHONG'S MY HERO" Fryer – Defensive Secondary

 

Coach Fryer returns to Central Dauphin as a coach for a fourth season after a stellar career as a defensive back at Bloomsburg University. At Bloomsburg he played on 3 PSAC Championship teams and was a member of the 2000 team that played for the Division II National Championship. In high school, he was a three year starter for the Rams and in 1999 served as team captain. He was selected to the Mid-Penn All-Commonwealth team in 1999. Currently, Coach Fryer works as an insurance representative and resides in Harrisburg

 

Matt Glennon – Co-Defensive Coordinator/Outside Linebackers

Coach Glennon teaches AP U.S. Government and U.S. History II at Central Dauphin High School. This is his sixth year on the Rams' Football Staff. Before coming to Central Dauphin, Coach Glennon was a social studies teacher and assistant football coach at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, VA. Coach Glennon played on 4 Centennial Conference Championship teams and two NCAA qualifying teams at Dickinson College. He also was a member of the 1988 District III AA Championship team at West York Area Senior High. Currently, Coach Glennon resides in Carlisle with his lovely and supportive wife Melanie, and their two children, Madelyn and Jonathon.

 

Sean "I LIKE GRANDMA'S" Rosler – Co-Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line

Coach Rosler joined the Rams staff in 1998. Currently he teaches Earth Science at Central Dauphin Middle School. Before coming to the Central Dauphin School District, Coach Rosler taught and coached at George Washington High School in Danville, VA. A former Big 33 Nominee at Carbondale High School, Coach Rosler continued playing football at Widener University where he was a member of the 1989 MAC Championship Team. After a stint in the Coast Guard, Coach Rosler received his degree from Wilkes University. Currently, Coach Rosler resides in Harrisburg with his wife Laura and his two daughters, Catie and Jacklyn.

 

PAUL LINN – Linebackers

Coach Linn joined the staff in 2007.  He is a 2000 graduate of Central Dauphin who went on to star at Middle Linebacker for Bloomsburg University.  He was also a Team Captain in 2004.  Coach Linn has been an assistant coach for Bloomsburg High School the past two years.

  

Rich Fino – Junior Varsity Defensive Coordinator

 

Coach Fino has served on the Central Dauphin Football staff for the past six years on both the Freshman and JV levels. Currently he is employed as a realtor. Before joining the Rams Staff, Coach Fino was a coach for the Linglestown Colts Pee-Wee Football Program in 1998. As a player, Coach Fino was a linebacker and offensive lineman for Bishop Hoban HS. Coach Fino is a graduate of Shippensburg University and lives in Harrisburg with his wife Kim and daughter Victoria.

 

Michael Dougherty – Freshman Offensive and Defensive Line

This will be Coach Dougherty’s  fourth season on the Central Dauphin Staff. He currently teaches social studies at Central Dauphin High School. Coach Dougherty came to Central Dauphin directly from Lebanon Valley College where he played football and served as team captain his senior year. He also served as a team captain for Upper Moreland High School before committing to play at Lebanon Valley. Coach Dougherty resides in Harrisburg.  

 

Craig Shultz – Freshman Linebackers and Wide Receivers

Coach Shultz is entering his fifth season with the team and is active in local youth football programs.  He has a son, Dakota.
